Reports to: General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer
Location: New York City (hybrid) or fully remote
Overview
Reporting directly to the General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer and working under the daily supervision of the Vice President, Programming & Content, the Manager, Programming & Content, works closely with other Society staff and collaborative partners to assist in developing, facilitating, and maintaining national and regional programming, content, and research, consistent with the education, collaboration, and advocacy aspects of the Society’s mission.
Programming
- Supports the development, coordination, and execution of substantive programming including roundtables, panel discussions, webinars, discussion groups, and other structured discussions on core and emerging topics consistent with member priorities and interests, collaborative relationships, organizational partnership agreements, and other Society plans and initiatives.
- Handles logistical coordination of programming, including scheduling, invitations, speaker communication, materials preparation, registration, and follow-up.
- Coordinates feedback collection from program participants to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assists in maintaining a comprehensive programming calendar to support planning and execution.
Research and Content
- Assists in developing, coordinating, and drafting or facilitating drafting and publication of key research and reports with collaborative partners and on a standalone basis – including in conjunction with or resulting from various Society programming efforts or multi-faceted initiatives – on core and emerging topics.
- Updates and maintains a Society Director Education Programs listing.
- Reviews, updates, and maintains substantive content on Society website practical resource pages to ensure content remains current and relevant.
- In collaboration with Vice President, Programming & Content and GC, fields, researches, and responds to substantive member questions, using Society website practice resource pages and external platforms and resources to identify relevant information.
Benchmarking
- Supports the development, coordination, and execution of member–requested and Society-initiated benchmarking surveys and supports the overall survey process, including survey setup, analysis, and reporting.
- Supports the development, coordination, and facilitation of member–requested and Society-initiated poll questions and analyzes and reports poll results.
- Assists in maintaining a comprehensive benchmarking survey calendar to support planning and execution.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintains up-to-date lists of the Society’s various working groups to facilitate effective communication and engagement.
- Maintains a tracker to monitor daily member inquiries, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate reporting.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed to support the overall goals and operations of the Society.

- Collaborates and builds strong relationships at all organizational levels and across functions while balancing multiple priorities and projects. Work requires independent problem solving and resolution.
- Works with members, Society leaders, and colleagues via collaborative engagement planning to support the Society’s mission.
Strategic and Operational Contribution
- Actively participates in the Society’s strategic and operational planning processes, contributing ideas, insights, and feedback to support long-term success.
- Supports the Vice President in developing, monitoring, and executing annual hybrid and virtual program planning and content to support the achievement of the Society’s annual goals and strategic objectives.
- With the General Counsel & Chief Knowledge Officer, Vice President, Programming & Content and other relevant staff, helps maintain and ensure adherence to written standard operating procedures to govern the Society’s programming, content, and benchmarking.
- Maintains awareness of key organizational priorities and collaborates across teams to help ensure sustained progress toward shared objectives and performance benchmarks.
- Serves as a brand ambassador for the Society, upholding its values and mission in all interactions and communications, and promoting a positive, inclusive experience that supports member engagement and growth.
Qualifications
- College B.S. or B.A. degree in a business-related field of study.
- Demonstrated knowledge of or experience with corporate governance concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Work experience in (para)legal or governance role will be considered as part of the overall qualifications.
Salary and Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000-$80,000, depending on qualifications and/or experience.
